INSTRUCTIONS

Candidates interested in joining the OFC must:

• Be born in, reside in or study in Canada;
• Be between the ages of 18 and 30.

The registration form must be fully completed and accompanied by:

• A full resumé.  Former OFC members must submit an updated resumé;
• A copy of a document certifying place of residence (such as driver’s license);
• A copy of a document certifying date of birth (such as driver’s license or passport);
• Non-refundable payment of $30. (When submitting your documents on-line, you will be asked for a payment through a Paypal account.)

Complete application must be sent no later than February 15th, 2008

All application packages become the property of the OFC and will not be returned to the candidates.

AUDITIONS

Once all applications have been reviewed, a number of candidates will be invited by the selection committee to on-site auditions in one of several Canadian cities during the month of February and March.

Auditions are 12 minutes long and consist of a solo piece of your choice of no more than 3 minutes, mandatory orchestral excerpts and may include sight-reading. To access the excerpts for your instrument in pdf format, please see the ORCHESTRAL EXCERPTS page and click on the titles.

Candidates must make any arrangements and cover any and all accompanist expenses should they be required.
 
The decisions of the selection committee are final.
